About the team:
Core Technology (CT) is a global team responsible for the end-to-end eBay technology platform. This platform runs our entire infrastructure and all the services that come together to form ebay.com. You will be part of an agile Content Platform team, which is responsible for cutting edge development in eBay Live.
eBay is looking to hire a passionate, collaborative and motivated Backend Software Engineer to work in eBayLive, While this type of real-time platform has gained broad acceptance in APAC, the adoption of live shopping in the Americas and EMEA is still relatively low, and we're working to be the platform of choice for this emerging trend.

Responsibilities:
- You will be a member of our Core Al Engineering team, building eBay Live.
-Collaborate closely with peers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations.
- Be involved in development, testing, release, triage.bug fix, documentation, and work in an Agile environment. Use of tools like JIRA, Git, ClCD and other internal eBay tools on a regular basis to organize work and deliver features.
- Participate in technical design and code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers on the team.
- Deliver highly performing, low latency, robust code with high test case coverage, continuous integration an
d production monitoring
- Triage and debug production issues
- Mentor junior team members
Job Requirements:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field plus 10 years work experience or MS with 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin)
- Experience in building large, reliable, scalable distributed systems
- Experience with building event-driven applications-Experience with designing and building RESTful APISwith Spring Boot.
- Excellent communication and lead skills to be able work and collaborate with other teams involved in our projects.
- Hands on experience with: GraphQL
- Prove experience in architecting backend systems
- Deep understanding of design patterns, and experience working in a layered architecture
- Knowledge of core CS concepts such as common data structures and algorithms
- Experience with modern DevOps principles and continuous delivery
- Work closely w/ colleagues and customers in different functional groups and remote offices
- Past experience with Live Commerce or Live Stream is big PLUS.
