Software Development Engineer in All Levels
Beijing & Suzhou, China

Description:
WebXT (Web Experience Team including Search/Ads/MSN/Edge) Data in Microsoft STCA is responsible for developing and operating one of the world’s largest data eco-system: PiB data has been being processed, stored and accessed via the data API every day by streaming/batches, from instrumentation to analytics. Besides, modern open-source technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Kylin and Click House are widely used in the team to run the big data business successfully. Thousands of developers in Bing, Ads, MSN, and Edge are working on top of the data products that the team build. We’re looking for passionate data engineers to join us for the mission of powering Microsoft Search/Ads/MSN businesses through data substrate and infusing our data capabilities to the industry.

Responsibilities
• Design and build high efficient, low cost and planet-scale data systems
• Build intelligence on top of 400 PiB of Microsoft data assets to power Microsoft businesses and industry
• Work with world-class engineer/scientist team on Big Data, Analytics and OLAP/OLTP
• Embrace both Microsoft technology and cutting-edge open-source technology (Spark/Kafka/Click House/Kylin, etc.)

Qualifications

• Solid experience of shipping high performance C#, Java, or equivalent language code software.
• Understanding of distributed system and data parallel computing is preferred.
• Data processing or analytics experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, Azure Data Lake is a plus.
• Domain knowledge of ads, search or content services is a plus.
• Experience of designing mission critical data pipelines with SLA commitment is a plus.
• Quick learning and solid problem solving and debugging skills.
• Accountable and proactive
• Good communication skill, fluent in English (both oral and written)
