The User Experience team is looking for a new Interaction Designer with a passion for good design and technology. You must have a strong understanding of web design and production. To be successful on this team you must:

Responsibilities
• Reporting to the UX Manager you will lead the design effort on a number of projects and be the lead role for helping produce web and mobile projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Works closely with developers and project teams to establish and ensure compliance with an organizational design strategy.
• Works closely with product managers and development staff to understand and define project requirements.
• Works closely with other members of the project team to negotiate implementation issues and support the development effort.
• Maintain, improve and audit UI specifications and guidelines against existing products and competitor products.
• Research design and usability best practices and provide education to the organization.
• Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, rationale to explain design concepts.
• Evangelize the importance of good user experience across the whole organization
Required Skills
• 4+ years experience with a Diploma or Degree in Graphic or Information Design, Computer Sciences and/or industry experience.
• Proven design experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Visio or similar.
• Expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and ability to handle cross-browser compatibility
• Knows and applies W3C Standards and established best practices
• Experience working with responsive design infrastructures
• Familiarity with social media best practices
• Good working relationship with web developers and programmers
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Ability to perform effectively in a multitasking environment
• Require minimal supervision, organized, work well in a team
• Proven aptitude for problem solving, technical thinking with attention to detail
• Strong professional attitude and a drive to get things done
• Have strong interpersonal, as well as written and verbal skills in the English language
Nice to Have
• Experience using JQuery, JavaScript, Twitter Bootstrap
• Experience with mobile application design
• Experience working with video
• Experience with source control such as CVS, Subversion, Git, Mercurial, or related
• Practiced and delivered User Centered Design deliverables in an end-to-end product development lifecycle for software
• Experience in Lean UX or Agile methodologies
• Experience designing and specifying user interfaces for Windows based software products within the Broadcast Industry
• Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines for developing applications
• Experience in designing using XAML
