Systems Administrator

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation, management, and administration of various flavors of UNIX including Red Hat & Ubuntu Linux, Solaris 10
• Installation, management, and administration of various flavors of networking devices, load balancers, Switches, etc
• Performance tuning, configuring & upgrading Operating Systems
• Networking topology design and performance analyzing & tuning
• New technology explorer and introducing to production environment.
• Troubleshooting, problem resolving skill and confidence to deliver tasks with high quality in high pressure scenarios
• Work in emergency situations related to downtimes, application and system upgrades and critical incidents and 24x7 availability over phone and in person.
• Identify & develop scripts and tools needed using various languages (Python, Ruby, shell, etc) for automating manual tasks.
• Supporting eBay cloud environment. (VMware, OpenStack, KVM, Storage, Network, Image and etc.)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong systems administration skills with Unix like Operating System.
• Deep dive into TCP/IP networking knowledge
• Expert understanding of system internals, networking and large scale distributed systems.
• Excellent English and communication skills
