This candidate will take the responsibility to build customer facing tools and services to automatically detect, classify, and resolve problems experienced in the usage of software in Red Hat's product portfolio.The ideal individual should be proactive, creative, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities - Analyze business requirements and convert them into feasible work items
- Work with other developers to fulfill requirements and verify correctness.
- Be actively involved in tools design, development, troubleshooting, documentation
- Use technologies that are appropriate for the platform.
- Collaborate with other developers across multiple departments and technology stacks for cross team projects
Required Skills * 1+ years software development experience (academic experience counts)
* Experience with Linux or UNIX platform desirable
* Experience in scripting languages Python and Shell is preferred.
* Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a passion for problem solving and investigation
* Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a plus.
* Prior participation in open source software projects is a strong positive
* Good communication skills, fluent in both oral and written English
