Autodesk is looking for an experienced and results-driven Principal Devops Engineer for BIM360 product group in Autodesk China R&D Center (ACRD) based in Shanghai, China.
This is your chance to help shape the future of BIM360 for Project, Field and BIM Managers to accelerate delivery, save money and reduce risk. As a Principal Devops Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the system deployment architecture for the best class web service and applications. The right candidate must be passionate on state-of-the-art technologies for solving application and service deployment problems.

Responsibilities:
• Working with the Development team for designing the system architecture for application deployment on multi environments
• Work with different teams for capacity plan, infrastructure architecture improving and so forth for existed and on-going applications
• Setup / Developing tools for monitoring various web services and online products
• Manage different applications deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS and Autodesk ECS
• Availability and Disaster Recovery management for different applications
• Improving security policy and process of web and cloud based applications

Requirements:
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field.
• Strong problem trouble shooting and analysis skill
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
• 5+ years ’ experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
• Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
• Strong scripting skills in at least one common language (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, PHP, etc.)
• Familiar with one or two of those web infrastructure techniques (e.g. J2EE, RoR, NodeJS)
• Familiar with one or two of those tools (Nagios, Cacti, Puppet/Chef/Tivoli, Ganglia, Fabric …)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Detail orient and being patient with the spirit of “ never give up ”
• Good knowledge of Web 2.0, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and Cloud Computing etc.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Knowledge of AWS, Linode, Rackspace or Aliyun, Huawei Cloude or VMWare IaaS solution is a great plus
• Knowledge of Web security or information security is a great plus
