We are currently hosting millions of mailboxes in our datacenters around the globe, and doubling the number of users every six months. We are expanding in both global presence and customer satisfaction in the cloud. Office 365 is one of the fastest-growing businesses at Microsoft. At the core of it lies Office 365 Foundations Engineering team, assembled to support the most critical components of the business – security and access control, scale, tenant provisioning, monitoring and alerting, customer satisfaction, compliance, deployment. We are looking for strong developers to help us with these efforts and build these core components of the Office 365 Foundations. First and foremost, we are looking for passion and desire to work on cloud services. We are also looking for someone who can thrive with ambiguity and agility, and who enjoys the rhythm/culture/atmosphere of a startup team. Candidates should have strong analytical, design, and development skills and experience with highly scalable systems. Responsibilities include planning, prototyping, designing, and development of core infra and API ’ s of the system.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of professional experience building server/service applications; Strong security background is a definite plus; Strong coding and debugging skills are a must; Excellent communication skills would be a strong asset; Ability to drive solutions from ambiguous, complicated problems; BS/BA in computer science, or equivalent in related technical experience; Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure stack is not required, but preferred
