关于Factual，它是一个在线的开放数据库，或者说事实库。
目前我们主要提供的数据是基于地理位置的全球兴趣点数据。即将提供全球产品目录，和健康相关的事实库。我们的目标是提供各个领域的所有事实数据。
我们的服务对象是开发者，我们的客户包括facebook， yelp，groupon， microsoft这样的知名大企业，也包括数以千记的中小创业企业，和个人开发者。
与其他数据提供商不同的是，我们的主要目的不是卖数据，而是建立一个数据生态环境（或者说数据社区）。就像open source软件一样，我们与客户（我们叫他们partner）签订协议，以很低的价格提供快速的数据访问，和强大的数据查询，但要求他们回馈更新。并将更新反馈给所有的partners。

目前我们急需寻找：Software Engineer，Data Engineer，Data Specialist

公司内部在用的技术有Ruby，Rails，Sinatra，Node.js，JQuery，JS2，Java，Cloujure，Hadoop，EC2，Linux等等，对于以上职位的要求是，你得非常擅长这里面的几个技术。除此之外，你得有个5年的编程经验，英语交流没问题，有很好的职业素养。

1. Software Engineer

Requirements:
5年以上编程经验
软件设计和算法方面很强
Ruby，Java这两门语言中至少熟悉一门
英语交流没问题
有职业素养，能自我激励

Pluses:
amazon web services经验
有hadoop或者map reduce经验
有linux系统管理经验
参与过open source项目

2. Data Engineer

Responsibilities:
Research and analyze data on the web
Evaluate and judge algorithmically generated data and assess data quality
Curate data schemas
Aggregate, clean, and merge data
Generate, maintain, and operate the generation software and scripts
Find and follow URL patterns using regular expressions

Desired Skills (at least three of the following):
Proficient in a language such as C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Perl
Linux/bash scripting
Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) frameworks
HTML DOM/XPath and/or Regular expressions

The Ideal Candidate Would:
Have a degree in engineering, science, or linguistics.
Be eager to learn new tools and skills related to data and scripting.
Be able to propose out-of-the-box strategies based on insights about data.
Chinese local resident is prefered.

3. Data Specialist

Responsibilities:
Use your skills and experience in conjunction with company tools to assess data quality
Research and analyze data on the web, including finding and evaluating data sources and providing answers for specific data questions
Research domain-specific data standards in a variety of subjects (eg., international points of interest, health, entertainment, education)
Apply data generation software and scripts
Thoroughly document findings, assumptions, and conclusions
Provide feedback and direction for improving data sets by adding new data and correcting old data
Author specifications to improve data processing and natural language processing, if appropriate

Desired Skills:
Excellent web research skills
Have either excellent English communication skills or other additional language skills
Experience in working with large amounts of data and/or data QA

The Ideal Candidate Would:
Have a degree in engineering, science, or linguistics.
Be eager to learn new tools and skills related to data and analysis.
Be able to propose out-of-the-box strategies based on insights about data.
Chinese local resident is prefered.

Big Pluses:
Familiarity with Linux commands
Regular expressions, XPath, or SQL
Multiple languages in addition to Chinese and English
Experience within a particular vertical of data (eg., international points of interest, health, entertainment, education, product)
