About the team
PayPal ’ s GRDS (Global Risk & Data Sciences) organization is in charge of implementing unique, best-of-breed fraud-detection algorithms using cutting-edge technologies, and delivering solutions, which are highly available, scalable, distributed, and process data at web scale. Our solutions are integrated into the company ’ s back-end systems, handling tens of millions of events daily & processing billions of dollars annually.

We are looking for a Tech lead for our Big Data applications testing automation domain.
Primary Job Responsibilities
* Lead the development of our next generation Big Data testing automation system
* Provide technical leadership in architecture, design, engineering best practices and on-going development work.
* Work collaboratively with the different business teams to assess their needs
* Encourage the growth of junior engineers on the team through skills development, mentoring and technical guidance
* Define product requirements for improving our system testability.
* Work in agile bunch, collaborating with developers and data scientist, sharing knowledge with other team members within GRDS.
Qualifications
*
B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
* At least 3 years ’ experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop / Spark / Hive / Kafka / HBase / Elastic search stack
* Java/Python/Scala development experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication, both in Hebrew and English
* Excellent analytics, problem-solving and debugging skills
* Experience in software testing automation group - advantage
* Hands on experience in DevOps practices – advantage
