收到dreamhost的邮件“Your sites are using too much CPU for the shared server”，是该离开dreamhost而换vps的时候了吗

My name I Daniel J from Dreamhost tech support. I was just notified by
our datacenter team that your sites have been causing a significant load
on the shared web server schultz.dreamhost.com. This has been causing
problems for the last few days. In an effort to stabilize that server we
are going to move your site to a virtual private server (VPS). I have
already begun the move to the VPS. Typically the VPS hosting cost starts
at $15 per month though I have placed a discount on your account so that
the extra cost above your standard hosting plan is only $5 per month. It
appears there is over utilization of the CPU processing time by your ftp
users:

The entire server should be at no more than 8000cp so having these 3
users totaling about 3700cp is around 46% of the total CPU time for this
server (that's not really appropriate for shared hosting).

之前我在wp上装了一个seo统计插件，某次查询（MYSQL）时间超过30s（平常我基本上不用这功能，就查询的时候用一次，一个月也就一两次）。然后DreamHost就直接把我的站给关停了，让我自己查原因。我说了我不会经常查这个，一个月就一两次，让他们看我的资源使用情况，都没门，反正要我以后都不准用这个东西。一气之下，就直接退款走人再也不用了。现在用Hawkhost的，我也是一样会用这个功能，但是却从来没直接关停后告诉我这个东西不能用，所以现在我在Hawkhost上就不用这个东西。

看看你在服务器上跑了多少东西，吃多少的CPU。我用dreamhost的时候从来没碰到说占用资源过多的，哪怕是用15-20MB/s的速度长期下载几十GB的文件也从来没找过我。

@fuckgfw 如果是小网站或者是小型论坛的话一般不用担心。如果是访问量比较大的话，有能力搭建vps还是用vps比较好。毕竟可以自行优化，比如nginx啊memcache啊radis啊 都可以上，性能要比虚拟主机好很多。
