We have asked for a clarification in order to work with you and find a way to not escalate this issue.
I see that you chose to try to mislead us further and pressure us into doing something which is against our policy.
It may not be obvious, but the amount of work we have to put in to handle these situations completely destroys any potential benefit we could gain from shutting down 'old' accounts, so I hope you are not being serious in assuming that we do this so we can somehow benefit from this situation. I am not even touching the subject of possible negative PR associated with all this.
As a matter of fact, dealing with account theft and/or sale is our single biggest, most expensive task to handle. It is a great waste of our resources which could instead be invested into making our services better.
As it stands right now, previous owner with the e-mail address you claim is 'yours' but 'no longer in use' is claiming this account back. So clearly this account was either stolen and then resold, or was sold in good faith but the original owner is now being dishonest when they claim that they 'lost' control over it.
In any case, none of this matters at this point. Clearly this account is in violation of our Terms of Services.
As you chose to not to cooperate, we are permanently terminating this account.
If you decide to post this reply online, we kindly ask that you please include it in its entirety. We want to make sure the community is fully aware that our patience with account theft has run out.
