Your future mission
- Become a member of our Business Apps squad and build software solutions to support the company's rapid growth.
- Led back-end development for delivering API services to support customer facing apps of a business critical platform responsible for multi-country employer clients.
- Develop and architect fast, flexible, and highly maintainable back-end services that increase users' efficiency.
- Write unit tests for back-end micro-services.
- Documentation for API services.
- Coach, mentor, and spread the word about our best practices inside and outside Horizons.
Your day-to-day at Horizons
- Work in a team of talented individuals.
- Daily standup practice to keep everyone aligned and supported in their role.
- Decide your priorities.
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle of our applications.
- Help the team make architecture design decisions.
- Allocate time to learning and growing your skills.
Your previous experience
- You have 5 years working experience as a Back-End Engineer.
- You have been in the tech lead role for over 2 years.
- You have participated in the release of a publicly available web application.
Your technical skills
- Have Python and FastAPI working experience.
- Familiar with modern authentication mechanisms, such as OAuth2, OIDC, JWT.
- Experience with gRPC, RESTful APIs and GraphQL API.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Streaming data applications is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge on Golang is a plus.
- AWS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in TDD is nice to have.
Your soft skills
