But in the UK, Ireland and New Zealand, a CV is used in all contexts and resumes aren ’ t used at all. 反正看你找什么向的工作了，偏学术的用 CV 列上什么 publication, conference, seminar 然后干啥的写的详细些，找 industry 的工作写超过两页基本 HR 就要扔垃圾桶了谁有功夫看 :)

是的，我就在米国。找 industrial 一般用 resume ，找 academic 一般用 cv 。

@endosome 刚才特地问了一下美国邻居，他告诉我说， résumé和 cv 基本没差， résumé可能比较短 cv 比较长，好像美国人喜欢用 cv 这个词？



回到答主问题，既然简历都不在业界用了干嘛不直接用 LaTeX ？

一般是这样的，在工业界求职，就用简单的 rusme ，因为 HR 没有耐心看长篇累牍的玩意儿。
但是在学术界求职，面对的不是 HR, 而是 PI 。 PI 需要详尽的资料， ta 从你的 cv 里面，想看出你的研究背景、所掌握的技能、所发表的文章， career goal ， future plans ，等等。

可以粗略认为 resume 简单些， cv 复杂些。

我想找的是制作 CV (curriculum vitae)、用于学术界求职的 app （你非要认为是 resume 。。。）

初中时有篇阅读就是讲的 Résumé和 CV ，一般在 U.K.如果是学术性的 purposes ，会使用 CV 多一些，并且欧洲很多国家都比较喜欢用 CV

@endosome 老实说啊我单纯觉得 CV 的长是发表的论文数叠起来的，另外加上自己承担的期刊匿名审核工作和某某协会的成员。我猜你是学生吧？所谓的 cover letter ＋文献综述要比 cv 重要的多我觉得

我不是学生。 cv 里面文献列得再多，也只能归类到“ publication list ”里面，不能说文献很多很长就是 cv ，比如这个文献很多，但是依然是 resume ： http://euro.ecom.cmu.edu/people/faculty/mshamos/resshortCombined.pdf
