Latent variable（潜变量、隐变量）：在统计学、心理测量学与机器学习中，无法被直接观测，但被用来解释或生成可观测数据（“显变量”）的变量。常用于表示“潜在因素/隐含特征”，例如智力、主题、用户偏好等。（在不同学科里也可译作“潜在变量”。）
