pedestrian island：行人安全岛 / 行人庇护岛。指设置在道路中间（常在车道之间或中央分隔带处）的凸起小岛，供行人分段过街时停留、等待，从而降低一次穿越多车道的风险。（也常称 pedestrian refuge island。）
