JD: Quality Assurance Engineer Why we exist... The Role ● We are looking for a seasoned Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to own the development and execution of manual, exploratory, and automated tests to ensure our product quality. ● You will be responsible for working across engineering and product around the globe to set the strategy around testing and automation as it relates to the full product development lifecycle. ● Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly. At Proxy you will ● Work with Product managers and designers to: ○ Review product requirements, UI/UX design documents, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback ○ Creating and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases; ○ Design, develop and maintain functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests; ○ Perform and document risk analysis; ● Work with engineers to: ○ Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities (different levels of testing, backwards compatibility tests, API tests, use debuggers, tools, etc ); ○ Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved; ● Work with other quality assurance engineers to: ○ Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs. ○ Triage bugs submitted from users and other teammates, verifying issues and gathering additional details. Who you are ● You care deeply about customer experience, quality is how you deliver a perfected user experience. ● You are autonomous and self driven ● You enjoy seeing your work influencing the physical world ● You love DIY, conquering problems hands on with your unique perspective, even without instructions. Technical and Professional Experience ● You are proficient in at least one of the following programming language: Javascript, Typescript, Python, Java ● You have more than 5 years of experience testing and verifying software systems ● You have a strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and development cycles for mobile (iOS and Android) and web applications ● You write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases ● Proven experience writing SQL queries ● You can read and understand technical logs, crash analytics, find bugs, and provide detailed and actionable feedback Bonus Points ● Experience setting up and maintaining automated release management platforms, like Jenkins. ● Experience with testing products that integrate wireless communication technology such as BLE & WiFi ● Experience building and maintaining automated hardware rigs for testing

You will be responsible for the quality, creativity, and the ultimate user experience. Along with the product, engineering and design team, you will address multiple digital and physical touchpoints to create a magical product.

Are you our new Product Designer?

• You have some experience. You have 2-5 years experience in the industry. You have a bachelors degree in a related field or have relevant work experience.
• You know how to design for multiple platforms. iOS, Android, web, and WeChat; we’re looking for someone who has touched some/all of these.
• You’re an expert with design software. You have expertise in Sketch/Figma, the Adobe Suite, and at least one prototyping tool (Invision, Figma, Principle, Framer, etc)
• You’re a team player. You have worked collaboratively with a cross-functinoal team to ship digital products.
• You’re a UX designer at heart. In addition to having a keen visual eye, you have understanding of design systems, information architecture, design patters and interaction design
• You look for feedback at every turn. You enjoy working collaboratively within a team and synthesizing feedback from users and peers alike.
• You’re flexible and ready for a challenge. You are comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project.
• You’re proactive. You have strong communication skills, are able to stay organized and are a self-starter who is able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
