Job Description:
As the Product Manager for our Restaurant POS System, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software. You will be responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch and ongoing improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer support, to deliver a world-class POS solution that meets the unique needs of restaurant businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to understand the evolving needs and trends within the restaurant industry, including competitive analysis.
Product Strategy: Develop and refine the product vision and strategy, considering market dynamics and customer feedback.
Product Roadmap: Create and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on customer value and business goals.
Feature Definition: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define detailed product requirements and specifications.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product development, launch, and adoption.
User Experience: Champion the user experience and usability of the POS system, ensuring it meets the needs of restaurant staff and customers.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure the success of implemented features.
Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality by setting clear quality standards and conducting thorough testing.
Customer Feedback: Gather and synthesize customer feedback and insights to continuously improve the product.
Documentation: Create user guides, release notes, and other product-related documentation.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to the sales and customer support teams, as well as to customers when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally in the software industry.
Understanding of the restaurant industry, including POS systems, is a significant advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
A customer-centric approach and a commitment to delivering a superior user experience.
Proficiency in using product management tools and methodologies.
