語源 / Etymology

ラテン語の constituere（設立する、構成する）に由来します。これは **con-**（共に）と statuere（立てる、定める）の組み合わせです。16世紀頃にフランス語 constituant を経て英語に入りました。「共に立てて一つのものを作り上げる」という原義から、「構成要素」や「構成員」という意味が生まれました。
