winxp 要用那个带 SP3 的版本，之前的版本硬盘只有 ide/scsi
记忆中是这样，主要是硬盘控制总线的技术是在 winxp 之后才更新的 |

这种 xp 不能直接启动的，要现在实体机里，把硬盘驱动卸载掉，换成标准的 Ide 。然后再拿到 vmware 里去启动。具体可以查看一些当年打包 ghost 镜像的操作。

@liuweiqing 改 ide 或者 sata ，虚拟机配置页面没有的话，workstation 需要手改 vmx 。

改了 ide 可能还需要 pe 离线修改注册表。。。
或者改 ahci 然后用 skyiar 试试 |
