IOS Developer :

We are looking for an iOS Developer who is passionate about their craft, who thrives on challenge and who believes in success through collaboration. You will be a part of our newly formed China Product Development team in Shanghai. Booking.com ’ s application has millions of downloads and a huge amount of active users. As iOS developer on the China Product team you will: • Maintain and enhance our iOS applications for Chinese consumers online with the global product strategy set by Booking.com B.V. in Amsterdam • Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functioning features • Develop new and existing iOS applications features • Implement conversion experiments (A/B tests) • Partner with designers to help define and implement User Interface improvements • Work with team members on server-side integration

• 3+ years iOS application development using iOS SDK • 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer using any other programming language • Experience developing product for Chinese users and local knowledge of the market • Knowledge of Cocoa, Objective-C and Xcode • Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts Strong interaction and design sense • Self-motivated to explore new technologies, applications and environments • Excellent attention to detail • Self-starter, highly motivated, team-player • Comfortable working in English and Mandarin both written and spoken

last year I booked a hotel at France using priceline, the order was handled by booking.com.
Before that I didn't realize there are some hotels that has a reception window.
The confirmation email from priceline doesn't have checkin time information. But it turns out that
that hotel can only checkin before 8pm.

It was until we got the hotel at 11pm, waiting in the rain, we found out that there was not one on the street, and the hotel is off course closed.

we were trying to ask for a compensation from princeline and booking.com. But over the phone and email, you just blame each other.

so be careful when you book oversea hotel, and especially when it is handled by booking.com, because the information you get may not match.
